We returned from our Colorado trout fishing trip last week. We both caught 5 trout each. I really didn't know trout could be so small, really. The hook seemed to wedge in their mouths as opposed to actually hooking into their lips. Midget trout, not much for eating. I really thought I was catching sardines.

My grandson, Josh 9, got his black belt so he is now hanging out in downtown St. Louis hoping to get mugged.

Our motorcycle trip got rained out so we are planning another soon. In the Year of the Bike, I have only ridden it 1,500 miles. Very sad!!

The sun finally came up again. Football has started. I have Missouri season tickets again this year but have not made a game in the last two seasons. It is fun to contibute aimlessly to public education, however.

I am still conducting the Battle of the Bulge veteran interviews. A few weeks ago I interviewed Kenny Luigs, Joe's Dad. What wonderful stories he had. I wish I had appreciated our parents and other adutls experiences more when we had them with us.
